Fall for Jazz!

High School musicians in and around Monmouth County are gearing up to begin an intensive training program in the art of jazz. The Jazz Arts Academy begins its Fall season with expert musical mentoring for youth ages 13-18 with performance ensembles, improvisation training, general musicianship, coaching, and special workshops. A special showcase concert where students share the stage with top pros and play to a large audience of patrons as well as family and friends.

This year-round comprehensive jazz studies program is produced by the non-profit parent organization, Jazz Arts Project. It has the strongest connections to world-class jazz artists in the region, and because the organization produces the most successful and engaging jazz events in the area, this training program is the ideal place for high school-age instrumentalists to learn about this art form firsthand and grow as musicians.

Although the Academy is a fee-based program, tuition assistance grants and a limited number of full scholarships are available.  Families should apply early, as these opportunities are limited.
